My husband and I are donut snobs. We have to find the mom and pop donut stores when we go somewhere and give them a try. So far our favorite places are in Oceanside California and St. Cloud Fl. We now have another favorite! Wonderful find right in Hiram! The ladies were very helpful and explained the different kinds of donuts. The store isn't fancy but who really eats their donuts in the store...... we will definitely be coming back again!
I woke up bright and early this morning and got to Douglas donuts five minutes before opening. First person in the shop so I knew everything was fresh. I got a dozen mix and everything was super tasty. I really love their maple bacon doughnut. This is my new donut shop for Saturday mornings. The husband pleased when he woke up to fresh donuts. Very basic shop but everything is fresh and homemade. In the Chartwell Staffing space near Golden Krust and Cheeseburger Bobby's.
We had to hunt to find this store. At the time of our visit, there was still a sign for a business called Chartwell Staffing above their store. Upon entry, you find that it really is a donut store which opened on February 2, 2024. The staff person was really friendly and welcoming. The store has a cabinet refrigerator full of juices and soft drinks. The store has three display cabinets that were full of scrumptious looking donuts and fritters. I love Apple fritters so I picked up a few. Give them a try if you are in the Hiram shopping area and try their delicious donuts.
